You Are the Light: A Simple Summer Solstice Ritual to Reset + Radiate
Why the Summer Solstice Means So Much to Me
There’s something powerful about this time of year. The sun hangs a little longer in the sky, and everything feels a little more alive.
The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year.A natural invitation to slow down, let go, and rise with the light. It reminds me to check in with myself—where I’m headed, and what I’m holding that’s no longer mine.
You don’t need a fancy altar or hours of meditation.Just a quiet moment… and a little intention.
My Personal Solstice Ritual
This is the ritual I come back to every June. It only takes 10–15 minutes, but it helps me feel lighter, clearer, and more me.
It’s now a tradition I share with the women I love, my sister, my friends, and this community.
1. Step Into the Light
Step outside, barefoot if you can.Close your eyes and let the sun warm your skin. Lift your palms to the sun to receive and just breathe.
Then whisper to yourself:
“I welcome the light. I rise with it. I am ready for what’s next.”
Let the moment feel sacred. Let it feel like yours.
2. Let It Out
Grab a small piece of paper and write down what you’re ready to release. This might be:
Doubts or fears
Habits that drain your energy
Thoughts that keep you stuck
No need to overthink it. Let it flow.
3. Burn & Release
Light a candle or use a fire-safe dish.Burn the paper slowly, watching it turn to ash.
As you do, say:
“I release this. It no longer belongs to me nor serves me.”
Feel the space you’ve just made. Clean. Quiet. Yours.
4. Plant a New Intention
Now write one short sentence about the version of you that’s growing this season.
A few ideas:
“I bloom with confidence.”“I follow the warmth, not the worry.”“I allow joy to guide me.”
Say it out loud. Let it sink in. Then place it somewhere meaningful, under a flowerpot, inside a drawer, on your bathroom mirror, next to your jewelry.
What This Ritual Does For Me
Each time I do this, something shifts.Sometimes it’s small, like clarity or softness.Sometimes it’s big, like letting go of fear or calling in something new.
This ritual helped me trust my path. It helped a friend finally forgive herself. It helped my sister take a leap in her own life.
And that’s why I keep sharing it.Because we all deserve a few sacred minutes to remember:
The sun wants you to bloom. The fire wants to set you free. You were made to radiate.
Want to Carry This Energy With You?

The Fearless Line by Liv & B: Jewelry That Tells a Story of Strength
Born from a journey of transformation, the Fearless Line is more than jewelry—it’s a symbol of strength, resilience, and the power of women rising together.
What are Angel Numbers and why do I keep seeing them?
Angel numbers are repeating or sequential number patterns (like 111, 222, 1234) that are believed to carry spiritual or symbolic messages from the universe, angels, or a higher power. Many people see them as signs of guidance, reassurance, or confirmation that they’re on the right path. Each number sequence has its own meaning.
The Communication of Angel Numbers: How & Why They Appear
Angel numbers are believed to be messages from the universe, spirit guides, or higher realms trying to get our attention. Unlike random coincidences, these numbers often show up repeatedly in meaningful ways—on clocks, receipts, phone numbers, addresses, or even in dreams.
1. The Language of Numbers: Why Numbers?
Numbers are a universal language, carrying vibrational frequencies that transcend spoken words. Many ancient cultures, including Pythagoreans, believed numbers held divine significance. In numerology, each number has a specific energy, making them an effective way for the universe to communicate.
2. How Angel Numbers Communicate
Repetition & Synchronicity: Seeing the same number sequence repeatedly isn’t a coincidence—it’s a sign to pay attention. The universe uses repetition to make sure we notice.
Intuition & Inner Knowing: Angel numbers aren’t just about external signs; they also spark an intuitive feeling that the message is meant for you.
Life Situations & Context: The meaning of an angel number depends on what’s happening in your life.
A number like 555 might feel exciting if you’re considering a big move, while 444 could bring comfort during a challenging time.
3. The Meaning Behind Common Angel Numbers
Each angel number carries a unique vibration and meaning, often linked to spiritual growth, alignment, or transformation:
111 – A reminder to focus on thoughts and intentions because you are manifesting rapidly.
222 – Encouragement to trust the process and maintain balance in life.
333 – A sign that your spiritual guides are supporting you and creativity is flowing.
444 – Reassurance that you’re protected and building a solid foundation.
555 – A signal of transformation, urging you to embrace change.
666 – A call to refocus on your inner world, balance thoughts, and release fear.
777 – A confirmation that you’re on the right spiritual path and aligned with divine wisdom.
888 – A sign of financial abundance and karmic rewards coming your way.
999 – The closing of a chapter, signaling the end of a cycle and new beginnings ahead.
000 - The number 0 is the first number in numerology and can mean the start of New Beginnings!
4. Recognizing & Responding to Angel Numbers
Pause & Reflect: When you notice an angel number, take a moment to reflect on what’s happening your life.
Follow Your Intuition: What does the number feel like it’s telling you? Trust the emotions and insights that arise.
Take Inspired Action: Angel numbers often come with encouragement to move forward. If you keep seeing 555, it might be time to embrace that long-awaited change.
Resonating with personal significance
Just as angel numbers carry unique vibrations and spiritual meaning, handcrafted jewelry holds its own special energy, shaped by the artisan's intention and creative spirit. When choosing handmade jewelry, you're selecting more than just an accessory – you're embracing a piece that resonates with personal significance, much like the divine messages found in angel numbers. Artisanal jewelry makers pour their creativity and spiritual awareness into each unique piece, creating wearable treasures that can serve as daily reminders of your connection to higher guidance.
Whether you're drawn to handcrafted necklaces featuring numerical sequences, custom-designed rings with meaningful number patterns, or artisan-made bracelets that incorporate spiritual symbolism, each piece tells its own story. By choosing handcrafted jewelry over mass-produced alternatives, you're not just wearing beautiful adornments – you're carrying tangible reminders of divine guidance, personal transformation, and spiritual alignment, much like the angel numbers that appear in our daily lives.

Hello Fall, New Beginnings
I LOVE fall! I am sure I have mentioned it before, anything pumpkin is the best! The fall leaves here in Colorado are brilliant and invigorating, and the changing of the seasons makes me realize that we are presented with new opportunities and beginnings. The colors changing this fall just presents change, and this change inspires me not only in my jewelry designs but my life. I recently invested in a grain mill and new bread maker. I am shifting my mindset to homesteading these days. I want to be able to live off my land one day and these baby steps will get me there. I even did some canning for the first time and was successful. I want to get back to my roots of truly making everything handmade.
As Greek philosopher Heraclitus once said, "The only constant is change." Autumn is a reminder that one’s body, mind, and surroundings are always changing and evolving. The season focuses on the strength of life, emphasizing how vital it is to embrace the present. AND enjoy the moment at any stage that you are in and embrace it.
Feel It, Live it, Own it.

We do this with great intention to remind you that you are special and YOU deserve that special piece that not many people have. Why do we have our Fearless line?
The fearless line was born out of a feeling that overcame me in 2020. I haven’t talked about it very much and no mass announcement to the world on social media. On Halloween of 2020 I got served with divorce papers. I had a feeling it was coming but had hoped that we could have worked it out for the kids. I felt like I got gut punched because it seemed so final. I didn’t fight it when he handed me the papers I just knew it would be for the better in the long run, especially because he had already given his heart to someone else. So I was left with an emotion I hadn’t felt in along time…fear. I always thought my future was secure, but no longer. It was now up to me to serve myself with my own happiness and security. Self love was my new goal to love myself and rid the fear of being alone, my kids emotional state, taking care of finances, day to day coping and so on. There were a lot of challenges and hurdles I had to face, I didn’t let it overtake me. I had a rebirth so to speak a phoenix rising from the ashes and learned to never give up, and have faith in god and his new plan for me. I was truly surrounded by the most amazing network of women I could have ever asked for. They were there to support me, let me cry, let me grow and guide me back to someone I hadn’t seen in over 20 years. I went back to my roots and made a new life. These past 2 years have made me feel stronger then ever before in my new path.Fearless was the first new line I had created in a long time and it just felt right to me. What better medium to use then real bullets. I found a new love in shooting a gun. (NO, not people I promise! Just target practice) the shear force of it was empowering me take back what was mine. Myself. Each bullet represents the power you can take back of piece that you lost of yourself to help feel strong again. Free yourself of fear and know we understand and have your back on the journey that you are on. Think of all the women that have gone through hard times and the feeling of fear and…survived. We have your back, your neck, your ears and your wrists. This line is for every woman that has ever gone through fear and needs a reminder she is a badass. Because “behind every fearless woman is one hell of a story”.
Part 2 of my Leather Adventure
Captains Log:
Day 4 at the Alden’s School
Computer Bag progress 85%..
Maybe 3 cups of coffee is my magic number, although I am pretty sure I could push to 4. It not only satisfies my soul it makes me very productive. I always hold a high bar for myself and perhaps the coffee is the catalyst for it? Either way I am going with it.
I entered the studio, once again with high hopes of timely finishing this computer bag. I mean I have 2 more to bust out and only 2 days left! My brain is always brimming with creative ideas for the business…, not sure if that is a gift or hinderance??
I was booking it at a pretty good click until I had to rip out a few stitches out last night. I know it’s all in the learning process (trust me your bag will be kickass because I am working out EVERY kink in this studio). I am so grateful I picked this bag first…
Lunch time rolls around and I am 96% there.
My friend, Kim, and I journey to an amazing lunch spot owned by an Amish family. It is my 3rd trip here not only because the food rocks, but truth be told, there really aren’t too many other options in this town (none that my belly can endure anyway). We opt for the drive through to save some time and when we pull up to place the orders, the guy politely says, “You aren’t from around here are you, I remember you the first 2 times.” LOL. Well the food was again, quite good, and the cookies were very memorable, and I don’t even like cookies.
2:30 pm
James Taylor Radio is softly playing in the background and I am thinking that Tim is a very old soul for being in his 30’s.
There is a serious happy dance and freak out session in my head. Imagine the kind of happy you see on commercials where people win loads of money. But my excitement has to stay contained because my energy of completing this bag might just scare my more subdued classmates. This bag is kickass and turned out amazing!! The sense of fulfillment is overwhelming…, my labor of love is complete. Unfortunately, I am not selling this bag; it is my prototype, my baby and I can’t be bribed with coffee or chocolate. Holy cow it only took me 4 days, lots of internal swearing, sweating and now tears of joy!
Bag #2
Surely the next bag would be a breeze. It’s a classic redefined hobo bag. The 2” thick detachable strap is adorned with killer jewelry (ok, hardware really) and is multi-functional. I think Cindy and I nailed it! I wanted to learn a few different techniques with this bag, like a magnetic closure and an internal zipper. Zippers have always terrified me, but I looked at it in the “teeth” and totally crushed it. I have to say that this bag was an absolute joy to create and construct; compared with 3 ½ days it took to knock out the computer bag, it was a breeze. By 5:00 it was already 75% complete! It was time to call it a day and enjoy some wine. Peace out day 4, nailed it!

Day 5
Valentine’s Day
The word “Lypophrenia” (n.) a vague feeling of sadness seemingly without cause.
I feel a bit sad to be quite honest. I know that bag #2 will be complete and I am going to forge ahead and try for #3. I came with the notion of doing 3 and damn it, it will be done!
12:00 lunch time and I am 98.5% done with Bag #2. I am feeling pretty confident that Bag #3 will be easy and complete by COB…
A satisfied belly full of food and hope, I finished the hobo bag and onward to #3. This one is a small cross-body bag that you can jam a lot of stuff into (my wallet, lipstick, car keys and an Iphone 8 Plus all fit comfy in here). This sweet little bag is perfect for an evening out. Classic redefined is this pattern, as well as a perfect go-to bag for every occasion. I am going to be re-creating this protype in many colors!
5 p.m
Not complete, a real stumper, thought I was going to be done…It is COB and quitting time but luckily, Kim didn’t finish either and Tim (being a sweet guy) said we could stay later! Hallelujah! I have a few more parts to complete and although I know it won’t be done in an hour, Tim says we can come back in the morning.
Kim and I headed out to a local hotspot to share a Valentine’s dinner together since we were husbandless. We enjoyed each other’s company and people-watching at the bar. We made a pact that we would sign up for another one of Tim’s courses in September – a technique course. Stay tuned.
Captains log:
Day 5 8:30am
88% done with Bag #3.
My plane leaves at 3:30 and that means I have just a few hours to complete Bag #3 to allow for plenty of time to get to the airport (2 ½ hour drive). I am determined to finish this cute bag. It will be a staple for the line.
10:45 boom, done, mic drop! I cleaned up my space, said my goodbyes and took one last look at this little slice of heaven. I am thrilled to be returning for Tim’s special “Techniques” courses in September.
I am airport bound on this last stretch of open road and it is “snaining” the whole way (snow-raining as my kids used to say). The Suburban “Beast” handles it well.
I am truly grateful for this adventure. Being able to take the leap of faith to do something on my own, create something with my hands; self-reflection time for the future of the business. It was the perfect recipe for the future of Liv & B. Onward!
Which one is your favorite?
My Adventure in Burns, Oregon.
I have been scouring the internet for classes on leather making for a few months and I found Alden Leather in Burns, Oregon. I really enjoy working with leather and being self-taught so far I rally wanted to up my game and learn as much as I could to create new things for the leather line. This course is a 5 day intensive on learning techniques and making purses.
I started my adventure on a Sunday morning, leaving behind a snowstorm in Denver. On a tiny little cramped 3 hour flight, I was feverishly praying for no snow in Oregon! I had to get off this little plane on the jetway of Redmond, OR and then jump into a massive Suburban (AKA the beast). My husband wanted me to be safe and got me an SUV…I probably could have stayed in it for the week! So off I went, making my way to Burns taking in the gorgeous scenery and then I suddenly realized, I have to pee AND I don’t have any water for this 2 ½ hr journey. I am literally in the middle of nowhere on a 126 mile stretch of backcountry highway and not a single rest stop or store…Note to self on the way back, pee and get water next time before I get in the car! I created an epic playlist, cranked my tunes, sang at the top of my lungs and drove the beast all by myself.
I arrived in the afternoon on Sunday and my first impression is where the Hell am I? It is so tiny, the speed limit is 35, and there were deer’s in the middle of the road that wouldn’t move for me.
I stopped at the local Safeway to stock up on snacks and was relieved to see a Starbucks! (if you know me at all I LOVE coffee!) The population here is 2700 and is quite an old town.
I pulled up to this lovely renovated Central Historic Hotel and instantly fell in love! It is a hotel from 1929 and is all beautifully restored by the talented Keady family. It lies in the heart of this town and is so welcoming. I self-checked in to the hotel and my little adorable room. They truly think of everything here, even down to thoughtfully deciding on no TV’s. It is a lovely retreat to just relax and reconnect with yourself. A MUST stay if you are ever here!
Captains log:
Day one of Alden Leather school:
Walking into this studio the smell hits you of premium leather and old wood. A big American flag proudly hangs on a large red brick wall which is lined with these beautiful industrial sewing machines and leather tools. I am instantly in love! This is where my soul belongs. Tim Alden, the owner walks over and introduces himself with a big welcoming smile and introduces Chad his talented assistant. I marvel at not only the history of this building but in awe of all the tools and just the space in general. This is where I belong.
He gets right into the history of Burns, his proud family ties to leather making and all the leather basics from exotics to domestic. I feel like a sponge the first day, absorbing every bit of detail he has to talk about. (Luckily Cindy and I pre-fabricated a pattern so I didn’t feel so overwhelmed). The afternoon was all about pattern making and constructing the right way to do the bags that I have chosen. I have high hopes that the 3 bags I patterned out, will be created by the end of this week. Fingers crossed I am feeling fairly ambitious of my skills that I think I already have in my head. Time will tell of my mad skills…..
The students (just 4 of us) all felt invigorated even after our 8 hr day. SO much creativity in the room!
We tried to look for a dinner place, but apparently a lot of restaurants close before 5….
Captains Log:
Day 2
Amped on 3 cups of coffee, up since 4 am ( the damn time change and a call from the school regarding weather), I mentally prepare my brain for my plan of attack on this new computer bag. I’ll admit that the choice I made might be a bit of a big stretch to finish it in one day, but I am an over achiever and determined to get things done.
11 a.m. I didn’t realize that there were so many steps to making this bag! Like seriously 28 pieces?? I forge on til noon and realize the bubble is beginning to burst and there is no way this bag is getting finished by 5. Damn it.
5p.m
Closing time and he has to kick me out. Project completion 25%......
Well I might as well go and celebrate something, with my new leather posse for the week. We gather in the lobby of the hotel and eat communally with nachos and quesadilla’s. My new friend Chris has decided its margarita night and hands me an amazing concoction of pure tequila with a little bit of lime….I think I was breathing fire after it. The hotel’s owner strolls by and starts a lovely conversation about the town and the hotel. She lights up like a Christmas tree when she speaks of the area. Jen asks us if we want a tour of the boiler room…I mean why not. She takes us down a staircase to an old musty room where they used coal to heat the hotel back in the day. What surprised me the most was the pride of ownership and her stash of over 100 bottles of Whiskey in a beautifully curated space. Every little metal decoration had a story even down to the gorgeous poker table her son built. She offered us a glass and said “try any one of these Whiskeys except for a few on the top shelf” Like seriously? I am not a Whiskey drinker but hey when in Burns…My favorite was the Australian whisky called Starward. A must try! Needless to say I was in bed and possibly drooling by 8:30!
Captains log:
Day 3
I began the day with Kim (my new leather buddy) at a sweet little café to have breakfast and yes more coffee. This town is so friendly it’s contagious, it is growing on me very quickly.
I am eyeballing Tim’s class room from across the street and in my head I am bound and determined to finish this bag, I mean I have 2 more to do by Friday! (and possibly a belt if I can get my shit together).
10:00 am coffee break and an iced cookie from the Amish people. (I need sustinence, don’t judge) I need to up my game plan and boost my sugar levels.
Lunch time progress 50%
Fueled up on Greek salad and green tea I converse with Tim after lunch and ask him what the likelihood of an afternoon completion is…he has this genuine smile and with a little laugh says…”ehhhhh not likely. Maybe by tomorrow morning”. I am thinking he doesn’t know me very well….game on…
I was doing the rounded side seam on the coner of the bag, thinking I completely nailed it, feeling like a true leather Rockstar. I ask his opinion….shot down he wants me to rip the seam out and start again…tomorrow. Guess what I get to do tonight? Be a stitch ripper…fun times.
End of the day progress 85%. An epic fail on my adventurous guestimate.
Well there is always tomorrow. And this F*&king bag better be done, I am on a time crunch! LOL and I don’t like losing.
9 p.m I am going to bed….
Stay tuned for day 4….
