As a little girl, my wishes were grandiose. I dreamed of fairytale endings, more Barbies to play with, and all the small joys that made childhood special. My mother was my guiding light—happy, bright, and always striving to be the best version of herself. She was my yellow, a beacon of love and warmth.

My family moved seven times across the country, and with each move, I felt like I left a seed of myself behind.
